Use of Guarantee by the Owner in case of abandonment of the Property

In case of abandonment of the property by the tenant without settling the water bill, the owner may use the amount of the tenant's security deposit to pay the debt. The owner shall be jointly and severally responsible and liable for the payment of any amount due, including additional fees, surcharges and interest, in excess of the tenant's security deposit and therefore if the amount of the security deposit is insufficient to pay the amount due, then the landlord shall be required to pay the difference.

If the amount of the tenant's security deposit is greater than the amount of consumption due, then the balance is not returned to the landlord but is retained by the Organization.

In case the owner wishes to use a tenant's security deposit is required:

  • The physical presence of the owner at the Customer Service Department.
  • A photo of a meter with the current consumption reading.
  • Payment of the final water bill.
  • A copy of the owner's identity card.
